Julie Merritt Lee, Pastor

Julie comes to Providence from Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas where she served as a Pastoral Resident. Julie is a native of southeast, Texas, and is married to Michael Lee (Julie began her PBC pastorate on their first wedding anniversary).

Julie graduated Magna Cum Laude at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She has a Master of Divinity degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, Texas, where she received an Outstanding Preacher Award.

Julie also has served as a Clinical Pastoral Education Chaplain Resident in San Antonio, Texas; as interim Associate Pastor at Friedens United Church of Christ in Riesel, Texas; as Pastor Associate at DaySpring Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, as Resident Chaplain at Baylor University in Waco, Texas; and as Children’s Ministry Intern at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia.
