During the Spring of 2024, here are some of the jobs that needs to be done. Pick one you wish to do, bring your materials, and go to work.

  1. Clean kitchen in the Sanctuary building, including the refrigerator.
  2. Clean out the old, dilapidated shed in the back yard of the Providence House. Key is in the closet on the ground floor of the Providence House. Throw away everything that you can. We need to replace the shed with a new shed.
  3. Begin the process of fastening to the floor the sanctuary pews that are along the walls. Various pieces of wood, in a bucket in the pastor’s office, will be needed to level these pews. Some fasteners are available at the church.
  4. Rake the church yard. There may be large plastic bags to collect the leaves. Raking leaves prepares the space for mulch.
  5. Paint the small patch on the chair rail behind the newly installed handrail in the stairwell of the sanctuary building. Paint might be found in one of the storage rooms of the Providence House.
  6. Begin the task of sanding the black wrought iron handrails on the ramp into the Sanctuary. There is too much rust, and the rail needs to be painted.
  7.  Plant flowers: anywhere you see a patch that needs a little more color and beauty!
  8. Trim bushes around either of the buildings.
  9. Paint curb yellow in front of the fire hydrant.
  10. Repaint the parking stripes on the parking lot.
There are other things that need to be done. If you see something that needs to be done, that you can do, go for it.
