Singing the Christian Worldview

Last Sunday, March 10, 2024, there was no sermon! Instead, we sang our way through the five-fold Christian Worldview: Creation, Corruption, Redemption, Election, and Consummation, led by tenor Dr. John Wesley Wright, poet Robert Zachery, reader Kate B, musician Michael Sebastian, and pastor Dwight A. Moody. So there is no transcript but there is this outline and, of course, the live-streamed video.

 Departing Hymn         “Glory to God”

Singing for joy we gather to worship,
eager to find the strength that we need.
Bind us together, bring transformation,
make us like Jesus in word and deed.
Make us like Jesus in word and deed.

Welcome we give to every one present,
contours of Christ we see in each face.
Let us receive, Lord, all that You offer,
Sweeten our souls with mercy and grace.
Sweeten our souls with mercy and grace.

Grateful today for all You provide us,
friends for the journey, food for the day.
Fill us just now with peace and contentment
That we might gladly walk in the Way.
That we might gladly walk in the Way.

Looking to Jesus, rabbi, redeemer:
he lived with courage, then died alone.
Raised from the dead, he now lives among us.
Our great commission: making him known.
Our great commission: making him known.

Living with hope, we scatter to serve God,
loving our neighbor, sharing the Word.
Spirit of gladness, hear this confession:
Praise for the Savior, Jesus our Lord.
Praise for the Savior, Jesus our Lord.

Benediction and Postlude
